Bifenthrin là một hoạt chất có vai trò như một loại thuốc trừ sâu pyrethroid ester và thuốc diệt muỗi pyrethroid ester. Hoạt chất này thường được dùng trong nông nghiệp để phòng trừ các loại côn trùng như rệp, sâu, kiến, muỗi, bướm đêm, bọ cánh cứng, châu chấu, ve,…

2. Đặc điểm của Bifenthrin

  • Bifenthrin là chất rắn màu trắng nhạt đến nâu nhạt, có dạng sáp, mùi vị hơi ngọt nhẹ. Hoạt chất này được sử dụng như một loại thuốc trừ sâu phổ rộng.
  • Khi ngưng tụ axit cis-3-(2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoroprop-1-enyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylic và [( 2-metyl- 1,1′- biphenyl )-3-yl] metanol sẽ thu được este cacboxylic là Bifenthrin.
  • Hoạt chất này có vai trò tương tự thuốc trừ sâu pyrethroid ester và thuốc diệt muỗi pyrethroid ester. Đây là hợp chất hữu cơ, có chức năng liên quan đến axit cis-chrysanthemia.

3. Cơ chế hoạt động

Bifenthrin tác động lên hệ thần kinh của côn trùng bằng cách ảnh hưởng đến các kênh natri trong màng tế bào thần kinh, làm rối loạn khả năng dẫn truyền tín hiệu.

Điều này khiến các tế bào thần kinh của côn trùng bị kích thích liên tục, dẫn đến tê liệt và cuối cùng là cái chết. Bifenthrin có hiệu quả đối với cả côn trùng trưởng thành và ấu trùng.

4. Vai trò của Bifenthrin trong nông nghiệp

  1. Kiểm soát côn trùng chích hút và gặm nhấm:
    Bifenthrin được sử dụng để kiểm soát các loại sâu bọ chích hút và gặm nhấm, như sâu cuốn lá, sâu đục thân, sâu tơ, rầy, bọ trĩ, và rệp. Những loài côn trùng này gây hại bằng cách ăn lá, thân, hoa, và trái cây, làm giảm năng suất và chất lượng nông sản.
  2. Ứng dụng trên cây lúa:
    Bifenthrin thường được dùng để kiểm soát sâu cuốn lá và rầy nâu – hai loài sâu hại phổ biến trên cây lúa, gây thiệt hại về năng suất và lây truyền bệnh cho cây trồng.
  3. Rau màu:
    Hoạt chất này có hiệu quả trong việc kiểm soát nhiều loại côn trùng gây hại trên các loại rau như bắp cải, cải xanh, cà chua, dưa leo, và ớt. Các loài côn trùng như sâu xanh, sâu tơ và bọ trĩ có thể gây thiệt hại lớn nếu không được kiểm soát kịp thời.
