Indoxacarb là một loại hoạt chất thuốc trừ sâu thuộc nhóm oxadiazine, được sử dụng rộng rãi trong nông nghiệp để kiểm soát nhiều loại sâu hại trên cây trồng. Indoxacarb có tính chọn lọc cao, đặc biệt là đối với các loài côn trùng gây hại như sâu tơ, sâu đục thân, sâu cuốn lá, bọ trĩ, và một số loài côn trùng ăn lá khác.

2. Đặc điểm của Indoxacarb
- Indoxacarb có phương thức hoạt động là ức chế kênh natri điện thế trong các tế bào thần kinh.
- Được bán trên thị trường dưới tên Indoxacarb Technical Insecticide, Steward Insecticide và Avaunt Insecticide. Hoạt chất được dùng làm thành phần thuốc trừ sâu thương mại của DuPont: Advion và Arilon.
- Hoạt tính tiêu diệt côn trùng thông qua tiếp xúc và nhiễm độc dạ dày, côn trùng ngưng ăn, rối loạn chức năng và chết đi.
3. Cơ chế hoạt động của Indoxacarb
Indoxacarb tác động lên hệ thần kinh của sâu hại bằng cách ức chế kênh ion natri trong tế bào thần kinh của côn trùng. Điều này làm gián đoạn quá trình truyền tín hiệu thần kinh, gây ra tê liệt và cuối cùng dẫn đến cái chết của sâu hại. Sâu bệnh bị ảnh hưởng ngay khi tiếp xúc hoặc ăn phải Indoxacarb, và chúng nhanh chóng ngừng hoạt động, ngừng ăn và chết sau vài ngày.
Indoxacarb hoạt động như một tiền chất (pro-insecticide), nghĩa là nó trở thành chất có hoạt tính sau khi bị chuyển hóa bên trong cơ thể của côn trùng. Điều này giúp nó ít độc hại hơn đối với các loài động vật không phải côn trùng, bao gồm cả con người, động vật có vú, và các sinh vật có ích.
4. Các ứng dụng chính của Indoxacarb trong nông nghiệp
- Rau màu: Indoxacarb được sử dụng để kiểm soát sâu tơ, sâu xanh và bọ trĩ, là các loại sâu bệnh phổ biến trên các loại rau như cải, cà chua, bắp cải, dưa leo.
- Cây ăn trái: Hoạt chất này giúp kiểm soát sâu đục quả, sâu ăn lá, bọ trĩ trên các loại cây ăn quả như xoài, cam, quýt, nho và táo.
- Lúa: Trên cây lúa, Indoxacarb được dùng để trị sâu đục thân và sâu cuốn lá, giúp tăng cường năng suất và chất lượng lúa.
- Cây công nghiệp: Các loại cây như cà phê, cao su, và bông cũng được bảo vệ khỏi sâu hại nhờ Indoxacarb, giúp bảo vệ mùa màng và nâng cao chất lượng sản phẩm.
5. Một số lưu ý khi sử dụng Indoxacarb
- Cần tuân thủ liều lượng và thời gian phun để đạt hiệu quả cao và tránh tình trạng kháng thuốc.
- Sử dụng kết hợp với các biện pháp quản lý dịch hại tổng hợp (IPM) để bảo vệ môi trường và duy trì hiệu quả lâu dài.
